Hi! I am Gaurav Kandari, the author of Garhwal Stories. It’s my pleasure that I was born in the lap of the Himalayan State of Uttarakhand. The sheer beauty and love for the Himalayas have led me to share with you all the joys I experienced while growing up through Garhwal Stories in a way that will make you feel as if you are experiencing life through my eyes.
I was brought up in the serene valleys of Uttarakhand, surrounded by pristine snow-clad mountains, sacred rivers and the traditions of Garhwal that have turned me into a person filled with traditional and modern values. As I transitioned from Garhwal to the fast-paced life of cities, I realised few know about Garhwal’s real beauty, its villages, humble people, delicious delicacies, its festivals and many more things that one can only experience on a visit. So I took up this challenge to bring my Garhwal in front of everyone through my website.

I’ve always been obsessed with running a blog, vlogging, and sharing actual studies. Whether it’s exploring a hidden path, assembling nearby artisans, tasting village delicacies, or taking pictures of a sunrise within the mountains—every second looks like a story ready to be told. GarhwalStories is my manner of keeping those moments and showcasing the heart of Uttarakhand to the world.
