My Monsoon Experience at Dhari Devi Temple Uttarakhand

I visited the Dhari Devi mandir(temple) during the monsoon. It was raining heavily that day. As soon as we reached the road, we got a glimpse of the temple. The Mata Dhari temple above and the gurgling Alaknanda river below – frankly, it brought immense peace to my mind. Despite the rain, the view of the temple looked more beautiful. We took Prasad there and then proceeded to the temple.

The temple is down the road, and requires about 500 meters of hilly terrain. The monsoon was a little slippery, but my steps continued with devotion. As soon as I reached the temple of Devi Mata, my mind became completely calm. It was as if all my fatigue and worries were left behind. The rain, the sound of the river and the atmosphere of the temple all combine to create a wonderful experience.

There are many monkeys around the Dhari Devi temple. Do not carry open prasad or food. These small precautions will make your visit even better.
